Power Management Charger

Power Management Charger (PMC)

The Power Management Charger (PMC) is an intelligent charging and power delivery system engineered for mission-critical power management across both controlled and field environments. Designed to interface directly with the Power Management Battery, the PMC delivers controlled, efficient charging while actively preserving battery health and lifecycle performance.


In controlled environments, the PMC functions as a high-efficiency charging station for battery sustainment, diagnostics, and lifecycle management. In fielded conditions, it operates as a compact, multi-purpose power system, enabling flexible charging, power distribution, and operational energy management in austere environments.


Unlike conventional chargers, the PMC operates as an adaptive power management system, communicating directly with the battery’s Battery Management System (BMS) to dynamically regulate voltage, current, and charging profiles in real time.


An integrated OLED display provides real-time visibility into critical system data, including State of Charge (SoC), State of Health (SoH), voltage, current, active charging mode, and system alerts—eliminating the need for external diagnostic tools.


The PMC features dual USB-C Power Delivery (PD) ports, each supporting bi-directional power input and output. The system supports high-power operation (65W+), enabling rapid battery charging and external device power delivery.

  • Dual-port power aggregation: Combines input from multiple lower-wattage USB-C sources (e.g., 2 × 30W) to increase total available charging power 
  • Flexible power distribution: Supports simultaneous charging and external power delivery 
  • Source-agnostic operation: Compatible with a wide range of USB-C PD power sources 


The PMC enables multiple operator-selectable charging modes:

  • Routine (Slow) – Maximizes cycle life with minimal degradation 
  • Standard (Normal) – Optimized for general operational use 
  • Priority (Fast) – Accelerated charging for time-sensitive scenarios; increased lifecycle impact 


When paired with the Battery Eliminator, the PMC functions as a remote power source (power bank) for the radio, enabling more flexible load carriage and cable routing. This allows operators to relocate the radio to less accessible mounting positions (e.g., rear cummerbund or back panel) while routing the power source to a more accessible location (e.g., front cummerbund). This configuration enables self-service battery swaps without assistance, improving efficiency during extended operations.


Bi-directional communication with the battery enables:

  • Real-time telemetry exchange (SoC / SoH) 
  • BMS firmware updates for performance optimization and feature enhancements 
  • Advanced diagnostics, including fault detection and cell-level analysis 


Purpose-built for integration into modern tactical systems, the PMC enhances operational flexibility, power accessibility, and lifecycle management, while reducing logistical burden across a wide range of deployment scenarios.
